Five Ways to get the Most out of Custom T Shirt Printing

Have you finished your design to a high standard?

When designing logos and branding for custom t shirts, you’ll want to ensure detailing is clear, of a high standard and exactly the right size and shape for your business, customers or friends.

There are a few simple rules to follow when sending an image to be printed and these include the use of a sharp image that is around 300dpi and if possible, the use of pantone colours to ensure an exact match. RGB and CYMK colours can be used but it will not always be possible to create an exact match with the inks and dyes available so bare this in mind.

Is your colour coordination correct?

Colour coordination is very important when it comes to custom t shirt printing. Logos can be printed onto a range of coloured shirts, so making sure those colours work well together is a must.

If you’re not sure, try mocking up your new t shirts on Photoshop to see how the finished article would look. You may also want to outline coloured text in black or white so that it reads better and looks more attractive once your print is on the material.

What type of t shirt do you need?

You might be surprised at the sheer amount of choice there is when it comes to choosing a custom t shirt for printing. With such a variety to choose from, it makes sense to have a good look at the options before making your choice. Alongside a range of t shirt designs, there are also polo shirts, tank tops, hoodies and much, much more.

Think about whom the apparel is for and if you need men’s shirts, ladies shirts or perhaps a simple unisex option.

Which printing technique is best for you?

As you may already know, there are several types of printing techniques available for custom t shirt printing, so make sure you’re clued up before you send off your image.

There are options available for short runs, long runs, budget prints and even options for bespoke printing too. If you have something special in mind, such as printed and embroidered clothing, ask an expert what the best option might be.

Could you benefit from other custom designed items?

Custom t shirt printing is perfect for businesses and parties alike but there is so much more to discover with professional printing. Bags, aprons, headgear and knitwear are just a small fraction of items that are print friendly.

So whether you are rallying for a good cause or simply want promotional items for your business, it makes sense to consider the different ways that you can promote your logos and branding.
