Consilium clothing - experts in promotional clothing.A group of US academics have created a new range of promotional clothing to mark the recent historic change seen in their country. Online t-shirt company Threadless has teamed up with the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) for the new promotional clothing. Graphic design professor Nancy Skolos, industrial design professor Soojung Ham and Trent Burleson and Randy Willier from the illustration department all helped to create the printed clothing designs.Michelle Ha, RISD's director of innovation partnerships, revealed to the Brown Daily Herald that the recent US presidential elections alongside the notion of "newness" acted as the central themes in the design. "Threadless is interesting because it operates solely on the energy of people: the individual artist, contributors and the audience that loves the t-shirts." "It feels, from one person to another, like the hand-made individual philosophy RISD students have," she added. The products received a warm reception when they were presented to the public on November 6th and up to $15,000 (£10,045) from the sale of the shirts will go to the RISD scholarship fund.
