Recently, stores such as Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Target have been selling first edition records from a range of rock bands, which has attracted a brand new set of customers to the store.Therefore, Guns N Roses have opted to agree a deal with Best Buy to exclusively distribute their printed clothing alongside the band's latest album, Chinese Democracy. Gary Arnold, senior entertainment officer at Best Buy, commented: "It's a logical step, given the challenges of breaking out from all the noise that exists in the marketplace." "As technology and entertainment products proliferate, I think artists are trying to look for ways they can be as successful as possible," he added. As well as purchasing the album on CD, the store hopes that fans of the band will also be tempted into purchasing items of branded screen printed clothing as well.
