Tabloid newspaper The Sun is giving away a series of promotional t-shirts to mark the nationalisation of Northern Rock and Bradford & Bingley.Mortgage provider Bradford & Bingley recently became another victim of the global credit crunch and was taken under government control.This follows the nationalisation of British bank Northern Rock in February following credit problems caused by the US sub-prime mortgage market. To mark this momentous occasion, The Sun has created a humorous promotional t-shirt giveaway for its readers.The white shirts have ‘I Own Northern Rock’ written across the front with ‘(and Bradford & Bingley)’ underneath. Sun readers can win one of 100 of the shirts and proudly boast that as tax payers they technically own two significant British financial institutions.
