Consilium clothing - experts in digitally printed clothing.A university student in the US has used time between her study commitments to launch a new printed clothing business. Caroline Rooney is studying at the University of Michigan and created a Peace and Love printed t-shirt for herself during a textiles class. After being inundated with requests from friends to get a copy of the shirt, Ms Rooney decided to launch The Bearon printed t-shirt firm. She now sells a range of printed clothing via a dedicated website as well as on the campuses of six colleges, including Syracuse, Northwestern and Wisconsin, reports Inc.com"It's getting to the point where I don't recognise some of the people who are sending in orders, calling in questions or walking around campus wearing the shirts," she explained to the website. "That's when you know the word of mouth has gone to the next level and that's really exciting."The 19-year-old also donates 20 per cent of her profits to three main charities: the Alzheimer's Foundation, Unicef and New York City's Public Art Fund. Status King recently launched printed t-shirts which bear people's individual status updates taken from social networking website Facebook. Find out more about our printed clothes.
