A woman may be about to receive legal damages after claiming that she was wrongly arrested for selling screen printed clothing at a baseball game in 2007.

Christina Eyre was arrested during the 2007 World Series for allegedly selling counterfeit Rocktober printed t-shirts at Coors Field.

Ms Eyre has argued that she copyrighted the phrase Rocktober on October 3rd, despite the Colorado Rockies registering the name five days after this.

She has also maintained the she held the appropriate peddler's licenses when she was arrested by police.

Her lawyers are now pushing for around $20,000 (£13,750) in damages from the city of Denver in order to settle the case.

Ms Eyre has reportedly already received a separate settlement from Major League Baseball (MLB), as well as from the Colorado Rockies team.

She is also said to be in negotiations with the MLB in order to sell on the copyright to produce Rocktober screen printed clothing.
