Pupils at a school in the south of France have received a new range of workwear which would not seem out of place on the fashion catwalks of the world.
Jewish school Ecole Beth Menachem in Lyon has introduced the new stylish uniforms which have been created by French fashion designers.
During a recent runway show, the audience gave a warm reaction to the sleek skirt and jacket sets in denim fabrics which will be worn by pupils at the school.
Lidia Azoulay, administer at the school, told Chabad Lubavitch: "My daughter Rivka is 13, and in the beginning when she heard about the uniform, she was not happy about it."
"But when she saw how easy it became to get dressed in the morning, she loved it," Ms Azoulay explained.
"There had been problems of competition between the children from rich parents and the children from poor parents, but now there is no problem."
It has also been revealed that the new workwear has proved such a hit with pupils that many continue to wear it while not on school grounds.
