Students at New Aberdour primary school in Scotland have helped redesign a new school uniform.

Pupils in the P1-7 class were given the chance to come up with ideas for a replacement featuring a school logo on the printed clothing and bags.

Head teacher Julia Flory launched the competition for pupils to come up with the best design, claiming that the children thought the old uniform was "a bit boring".

She told the Press and Journal: "The uniform was a bit old-fashioned looking. It was maroon in colour and lots of the kids though it was a bit boring.

However, the new uniform has been a "big hit" with the pupils at the small Scottish school, Miss Flory added. "The children now actually want to wear their uniforms, which is great.

"I think they all enjoyed coming up with the new look and they're rightly very proud of the end results."
